The Canadian manufactured Canterra CT550 is large multi-capable rig with factory built options specifically engineered and environmental applications. Typically, rigs of this size category that are utilized for environmental or geotechnical work are water well rigs that have been modified for this type application, however this unit was purpose built for not only production water well work but also for monitoring well, soil test bores and use of various sampling methods. Typical projects have included: 2” to 8” diameter wells for monitoring, extraction injection and instrumentation purposes to depths ranging from 20 to 600 feet, soil test bores 6” to 10” diameter soil, water or viper sampling purposes.
